Why Interstate?
Member Ownership Since 1968
Interstate Credit Union is a not-for-profit, member-owned cooperative. Unlike banks, our members are not just customers, they are owners. By opening and maintaining a primary savings account with a $5 minimum balance, each member holds a “share” in the Credit Union and has voting rights in how we are governed.
As a cooperative, any earnings beyond what is needed for capital reserves are returned to members in the form of lower loan rates, competitive dividends on deposits, and affordable financial services.
Security You Can Rely On
Interstate Credit Union is state-chartered and federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). Your deposits are protected up to $250,000 per individual depositor. No individual has ever lost a penny in a federally insured credit union.

We are proud to serve individuals, families, and businesses across 18 counties: Appling, Bacon, Brantley, Coffee, Evans, Glynn, Jeff Davis, Liberty, Long, McIntosh, Montgomery, Pierce, Tattnall, Telfair, Wayne, Ware, Wheeler, and Toombs.
With branches in Baxley, Brunswick, Douglas, Hazlehurst, Jesup, and Midway, we are close to where you live and work.
At Interstate, we are committed to helping members achieve their goals, whether that’s financing a first car, saving for college, buying a home, or planning for retirement.
